Ukraine: attacks in Kharkiv, the number of victims rises to 21

(ANSA) – ROME, AUGUST 19 – In Kharkiv the number of victims of Russian missiles that hit a residential building and a dormitory has risen to 21. This was announced by Dmytro Chubenko, spokesman for the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor, quoted by Ukrinform.

“16 deaths have already been reported in the Saltivskyi district building. Rescuers recovered the body of a 50-year-old woman. Another body, probably of a man, was also found. In Slobidskyi district, search and rescue operations are over. The final figure is five deaths, “Chubenko informed.

On the evening of August 17, a Russian Iskander missile struck a three-story residential building in the Saltivskyi district of Kharkiv. The blow completely destroyed the building and caused a huge fire.

At dawn on August 18, the Russian army launched a missile attack in the Slobidskyi district. Two S-300 missiles hit a tram depot, damaging a garage and dormitory. More than 40 people were injured.

Also on the morning of August 18, the Russians also launched a missile attack on the city of Krasnograd, killing two people and wounding three others. The bombings destroyed private residential homes and damaged 10 other buildings.

Kharkiv announced today a day of mourning in memory of the victims. (HANDLE).
