Ukraine: agreement of European cities for reconstruction signed

(ANSA) – FLORENCE, AUGUST 19 – A delegation of mayors of European cities belonging to Eurocities, the largest network of medium and large cities of which the mayor of Florence Dario Nardella is president, went to Kiev today with the goal of signing a political agreement for the reconstruction of Ukrainian cities. Nardella, at the head of the delegation, had a meeting with the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and then saw the mayor of Kiev, Vitalij Klyčko, president of the Ukrainian Cities Association.

Nardella was also in Bucha, Irpin and Borodyanka.

The agreement, wanted by Eurocities and signed by the Congress of Local and Regional Ukrainian Authorities in the presence of Zelensky, outlines the plans to match the reconstruction needs in Ukraine with the capabilities of other European cities.
