Gb: William and Kate move to the queen’s estate in Windsor

(ANSA) – LONDON, AUG 22 – Prince William and his wife Kate are moving from Kensington Palace, in west London, to a cottage on the Queen’s estate in Windsor. Their new home, Adelaide Cottage, is a 10-minute walk from the castle where the sovereign now resides, preferring it to Buckingham Palace. As we read on the BBC website, the decision marks a new chapter for the Cambridge: William is getting closer and closer to his 96-year-old grandmother, who he has already replaced in several public events given Elizabeth’s age and her walking problems. In addition, quiet Windsor makes it possible to guarantee the most normal education possible for their three children. The choice of Adelaide Cottage provides a further indication: the Cambridge are content to live in what, by royal standards, is a ‘modest’ house. The dukes, both 40, will still maintain their base in Kensington, a place of work and representation such as Buckingham Palace for the queen. They also have two other properties they can use: the Anmer Hall residence in Norfolk and Tam-Na-Ghar, a holiday cottage near the royal castle of Balmoral in Scotland. (HANDLE).
