(ANSA) – BRUSSELS, AUGUST 22 – “The whole world will closely follow the result of the elections in Italy”. This was stated by the high representative for EU foreign policy Josep Borrell. “My role requires me not to have any inclinations for a political party but it is no mystery that Prime Minister Mario Draghi is a person with the highest pro-European credentials and that he has been very clear in his support for Ukraine”, he added. Borrell. “I don’t know what the attitude of the next Italian government will be because I don’t know what the next government will be”, he specified, answering a question about possible fears for the arrival of the far right.
