(ANSA) – KABUL, AUGUST 25 – The floods that hit Afghanistan for about a month have killed 182 people and injured 250, including women and children. Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid gave the budget today.
More than 3,000 homes were destroyed by torrential rains, but also agricultural land, particularly in the east of the country. Heavy rains have also caused the deaths of a thousand head of cattle, the same source added, noting that the government will do its best to compensate for the losses.
The Taliban say that climate change, such as the poor management of infrastructure by the “previous powers”, have contributed to aggravate- (ANSA).
