(ANSA) – MADRID, AUGUST 26 – Dozens of flights have been canceled in Portugal due to a three-day strike called by the country’s airport staff: this was reported by various media. At the same time, inconveniences for those who intend to travel by plane are also possible in Spain, where at least 24 Iberia Express flights, scheduled between Sunday and Tuesday, have been canceled due to a protest by cabin crew.
As AFP also reports, in Portugal the nearly 150 flights canceled so far had been scheduled between today (first day of the strike) and tomorrow. The airports of Lisbon and Porto are the main airports involved.
In Spain, the Iberia Express staff strike is scheduled between 28 August and 6 September. During this period there are also strikes by Ryanair cabin crew (every week from Monday to Thursday) and by EasyJet pilots (from tomorrow to 29 August).
In almost all of these cases, workers are demanding better wage conditions. (HANDLE).
