(ANSA) – CAIRO, AUGUST 27 – There are “at least 2 deaths in the clashes in the Libyan capital Tripoli”: the Al Hadath TV, of the Al Arabiya chain, reported, citing “medical sources” without specifying whether the victims are civilians or militiamen. “The hospitals in Tripoli have so far received five injured”, he added, speaking of “light” or medium severity injuries.
“The ambulance of the Center for Emergency Medicine and Support managed to rescue a 20-year-old citizen who had suffered an eye injury near the Tripoli International Fair”, writes the same center on Facebook.
“The ongoing fighting in Tripoli is between government forces and armed groups loyal to the parallel government of Fathi Bashagha led by Haitem Tajouri”, writes the Libya Observer website on Twitter confirming what has been feared for days and providing details on the leadership of the forces that support the opponent for premier Abdel Hamid Dbeibah. “Al-Tajouri destroyed several cars belonging to an armed group affiliated with Internal Security, led by Lotfi Al-Hariri (…) after attacking one of his headquarters in the center of Tripoli”, the site also details on twitter.
