One earthquake of 4.3 degrees of magnitude was felt this Wednesday, 28, in two departments of the Paraguay, without causing injuries or causing material damage, according to the national data center of the National University of Asunción (UNA). The telluric movement occurred at 17:15 (18:15 GMT), according to a statement posted on Twitter by the UNA Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences. The epicenter was located approximately 90 kilometers from Asunción, the country’s capital, and 30 kilometers from Paraguarí, capital of the department of the same name. According to the note, the tremor was felt in Paraguarí and Cordillera, two of the country’s 17 departments. Last March 30, an earthquake measuring 3.9 magnitude was registered in an area near the municipality of Benjamín Aceval, in the department of Presidente Hayes, on the border with Argentina.
