O Kremlin stated that attacks against the territories of Ukraine which will be attached by Vladimir Putin will be considered as aggression against the Russia. The annexation of the regions of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia, which are equivalent to almost a fifth of Ukraine, should be made official by the Russian government this Friday, 30th. During an event in the Kremlin, Dmitri Peskov, spokesman for the Russian government, was asked whether attacks on the annexed territories would be considered attacks on the country. “It wouldn’t be anything else,” he replied to journalists. The Russian government also said it would continue to fight to take full control of the Donbass region of eastern Ukraine. Last week, Putin claimed he was willing to use nuclear weapons to defend Russia’s “territorial integrity”. Ukraine and other Western countries have said they will not recognize the annexation of the regions, while experts say the gesture intensifies the confrontation, which has lasted more than seven months.
