Cristina Kirchner was sentenced by the country’s justice to six years in prison
The Vice President of Argentina, Cristina Kirchner, was sentenced this Tuesday, 6, to six years in prison by the Justice of her country, on charges of having been head of a criminal organization to embezzle money from the State when she was in charge of the country, from 2007 to 2015. Despite the conviction, she will not be arrested because she has privileged jurisdiction and can still run for a third term. Kirchner denies the accusations and claims to be the victim of political persecution.
