Collision between trains occurred at low speed and left 155 injured
A train collision in barcelona, at Spainthis Wednesday, 7, left at least 155 people injured, according to the Spanish newspaper the country🇧🇷 The vehicles were at low speed and occurred around 7:30 am (3:40 am Brasília time). “One hundred and fifty-five people had to be treated, 39 of whom were taken care of and transferred to hospitals or primary care centers,” Transport Minister Raquel Sánchez explained to the press at the scene of the accident. “Fortunately, and within the spectacularity of this collision and this accident, there were no serious injuries to regret, only slightly injured”, continued the minister. It is not yet known what caused the accident, but the railway operator Renfe and Minister Sánchez have already started investigating. The collision was “between a train that was parked, already stopped, and another train that was making a maneuver that is done frequently”, narrated Sánchez. “It’s a safe maneuver, but the reasons for this collision and impact are being analyzed,” she added. Due to the low intensity, most passengers were able to leave the trains on their own, however three had to be transferred to a health center to receive care. The railway line where the accident took place has problems that are not new today and users have already made hundreds of complaints about the Catalan railway network. The Spanish newspaper El País reported that it is common to record liens on the R4, in one of them, in November 2018, one person died and 49 were injured after a landslide.
