Dina Boluarte is the new president of Peru🇧🇷 She took office this Wednesday, the 7th, after the former president of Peru after Congress considered his latest decisions a ‘coup d’état’, a thought supported by Boluarte who repudiated on his Twitter that the declaration of Pedro Castillo of “dissolving the National Congress” and, consequently, decreeing that the country would live under an exceptional regime. “I repudiate Pedro Castillo’s decision to break the constitutional order with the closure of Congress. It is a coup d’état, which aggravates the political and institutional crisis that Peruvian society will have to overcome with strict adherence to the law”. With Castillo removed from office, Boluarte became the first woman to assume the presidency of Peru. The new president took her oath at the congress and reiterated what she had declared on Twitter, that her predecessor had tried to carry out a coup d’état. During her speech, she announced that she will ask the Public Ministry to help her remove “the mafias” from the government, and that her office will have all the democratic forces.
