BRUSSELS – The Week of Regions and Cities is announced full of events, at the second edition in time for Covid, in conjunction with the plenary meeting of the European Committee of the Regions. It could also be the occasion for the debut in Brussels for the new members of the Committee of the Regions, including the president of Tuscany Eugenio Giani and the Marche regional councilor Guido Castelli.
The Barometer published by the Committee that looks at the impact of the pandemic on regions, cities and villages gives voice to European regions and cities. At the plenary of the Committee, there will be discussions with: the Prime Minister of Slovenia Janez Jansa on the priorities of the EU Council, the EU Commissioner for the Environment Virginijus Sinkevicius on the climate emergency also in view of Cop26, the EU Commissioner for Aid Humanitarians Janez Lenarcic and Secretary General Mami Mizutori’s Special Representative on Natural Disasters, Executive Vice President Dubravka Suica on the Future of Europe.
