Blackouts at home and limitations on energy consumption energy in the industrial pole: this is the scenario that China currently facing because of an energy crisis that affects the country. The problem is mainly caused by the government’s commitment to reducing the emission of pollutants into the atmosphere, since 60% of the country’s energy matrix comes from burning coal. According to Rodrigo Giraldelli, who has been a specialist in imports from China for 20 years, he says that this scenario could affect Brazil soon. “What the energy crisis can produce here in Brazil as a side effect is price increases or product shortages. It’s a very simple question: less energy, less production. Less production, less products available. If there is demand, the price tends to rise”, Rodrigo. China is considered the main trading partner of the Brazil. No wonder, in 2021, 31% of Brazilian imports came from the Asian country. In 2022, from January to November, that number grew, generating US$ 87 million.
