Died at age 73, Linda Kasabian, a member of the ‘Manson family’ who was a key witness in the case against the sect led by Charles Manson that murdered actress Sharon Tate in 1969, has died at age 73, reported the American press. Kasabian acted as a lookout as the so-called “Manson family” killed Tate, who was married to film director Roman Polanski and eight months pregnant, and three others at a home in an upscale neighborhood of Los Angeles in August 1969. During the trial of the members of the sect, Kasabian was a witness for the prosecution and obtained an immunity agreement. Manson and four followers were arrested after the trial. Charles Manson died in prison in 2017, aged 83. TMZ reported that Linda Kasabian died on January 21 at a hospital in Tacoma, state of washington, aged 73, according to the death certificate. The document shows that she changed her last name to “Chiochios” to protect her identity after testifying against Manson’s sect.
