Iran in cooperation with Russia plans to launch two satellites into space: details appeared

Iran plans to launch two domestic satellites Kowsar and Hodhod into space in December 2023. This will happen in cooperation with the aggressor state, the Russian Federation.

This was reported by the Iranian Student News Agency (ISNA). The satellites, built by an Iranian consortium of high-tech companies, are planned to be launched into orbit 500 km above the Earth’s surface using a foreign launch vehicle.

Iranian media have clarified that Kowsar – an observation satellite that can be used for agricultural purposes, geodesy and demarcation. The lifetime of a satellite in orbit is two years. Meanwhile Hodhod used in the field of the Internet, as well as in agriculture, transport and crisis management scenarios. It is noted that the contract for launching satellites has already been signed.

Recall that earlier Russia and Iran also made progress in planning the joint construction of a drone plant. On January 5, a high-level Iranian delegation visited Russia to see the site of the future drone manufacturing facility and discuss the details needed to launch the project. It is expected that the enterprise will be able to produce at least 6,000 drones based on Iranian technology. the occupiers will obviously be able to use this technique for the war against Ukraine.
