“Justified”: Biden responded to the decision of the ISS to issue a warrant for the arrest of Putin

President of the U.S.A Joe Biden reacted to the decision of the International Criminal Court to issue an arrest warrant for Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. American leader considers it justified, since the President of the Russian Federation committed war crimes.

This was reported by The New York Nimes. Biden noted that although the ISS is not recognized by the United States, but the warrant, according to the leader of the White House, “is a very strong argument.”

“I think he’s justified”– said the President of the United States.

In addition, the White House on the eve positively assessed the decision of the ISS in The Hague to announce the issuance of an international arrest warrant for Putin. They stressed that the actions of the Russian Federation against Ukraine can be regarded as war crimes, for which all those involved should be held accountable.

“We support bringing war crimes to justice,” White House National Security Council spokeswoman Adrien Watson said in a statement.

Recall: On March 17, the International Criminal Court in The Hague issued international warrants for the arrest of Russian President Vladimir Putin. In addition to him, the court allowed the Russian Commissioner for Children’s Rights Maria Lvova-Belova to detain and prosecute for crimes against Ukraine. Both are suspected of organizing the deportation of Ukrainian children.

Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin stressed that this decision is a signal to the whole world that the Russian ruling regime is criminal.

– In response to the decision of the ISS, the Kremlin’s top propagandist Margarita Simonyan threatened that Moscow could strike the country with nuclear weapons, which would arrest the head of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin.
