President of Moldova: we will never be on the side of the killers, Russia is the enemy
Moldovan President Maia Sandu reaffirmed Moldova’s position regarding Russia’s war against Ukraine. The politician said the country “has never been and never will be on the side of the killers”, it condemns Russian aggression from the first day of a full-scale invasion.
The leader of the state expressed her position in an interview with Moldova 1 TV channel, NewsMaker reports. Sanda emphasized that citizens should know who are “our friends and who are our enemies.”
Politics did not remind that Chisinau announced the attempts of the aggressor state to overthrow the constitutional order in Moldova and interfere in the internal affairs of the country. In addition, all this was accompanied by propaganda and disinformation.
“At that moment, when we had irrefutable evidence that in Chisinau there was an attempt to overthrow the government, democratically elected by the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, then we went out and spoke publicly so that our people know who are our friends and who are our enemies,” Sandu said.
She stressed that the resources for the development of Moldova come from Romania, the EU, the US and Japan, while the Kremlin did not give money either for the repair of kindergartens, or schools, or hospitals.
“Hence the blackmail and the war,” the president added.
Recall, earlier, US intelligence reported that pro-Russian forces are planning to organize protests in Moldova to try to ignite a fabricated uprising against the Moldovan government. They aim to form a more pro-Russian administration in Chisinau.
Officials say the US believes Russia is working to weaken a Moldovan government that seeks closer ties with the European Union.
