In the event that Russian President Vladimir Putin arrives in Germany, he will immediately be detained and sent to The Hague. This will be done in connection with the issuance of an arrest warrant by the International Criminal Court for the Russian dictator.
Germany is obliged to do this, since it has ratified the Rome Statute – and the state will strictly fulfill its obligations. This was stated by German Justice Minister Marco Buschmann, writes Bild.
According to the German justice minister, his state will strictly comply with the requirements of the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court, including against Putin. Therefore, if a Russian dictator, suspected of committing a serious international crime, sets foot on German soil, he must be prepared to be detained and sent to The Hague.
The same awaits the President of the Russian Federation and on the territory of other more than 120 countries that have ratified the Rome Charter.
“I expect that the ISS will quickly contact Interpol and the contracting states and demand enforcement. Then Germany is obliged to arrest President Putin if he enters German territory and hand him over to the ISS,” he said. .
The German Minister of Justice also noted that the ISS has the authority to take action against entire states.
Recall, the day before, on March 17, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and Russian Commissioner for Children’s Rights Maria Lvovskaya-Belova. Both are suspected of organizing and committing a grave war crime: the abduction and deportation of Ukrainians, including minors, to the territory of the Russian Federation.
For more than a year of full-scale aggression, with the assistance of the Russian authorities and according to the schemes organized by it, at least 16,000 children were deported from Ukraine. They are subjected to powerful zombification and transferred to illegal “adoption” in dozens of regions of the Russian Federation. At the same time, children who have relatives and even parents in Ukraine are changing their names so that they cannot be found.
During the entire period of a full-scale war, Ukraine managed to achieve the return home of only a little more than 300 children abducted by Russia.
The ISS warrant means that Putin, as officially suspected of committing an international crime, can be detained on the territory of any of the more than 100 states of the world that have ratified the Rome Statute.
It is noteworthy that a number of world leaders have already spoken out in favor of the Interior Ministry’s decision, including US President Joe Biden and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
