Ava-x, a company specializing in facial recognition, pointed out that there is a 90% chance that Julia Wandelt, 21, a young Polish woman who claims to be Madeleine McCann, being the Englishwoman who disappeared in 2007 during a family trip to Portugal. “It is practically unlikely that the Polish woman is Meddie”, Christian Fehrin, head of Ava-x, informed the German news website, Blick. The test carried out by the Swiss company, based on a facial matching software, showed that although the two have a similar coloboma (congenital defect) in the right eye, other characteristics are not compatible, however, they did not mention what these points would be of disagreements. A little over a month ago, Julia gained prominence on social networks and space in the press for saying that she would be Madeleine.

Through Instagram she began to share evidence that showed her similarities with the girls. She gained hundreds of thousands of followers and even gained attention from the girl’s parents who were ready to perform the DNA test. Although the police have ruled out that the girl is who she believes she is, the young woman is still trying to prove that she is Maddie. Last week, with the help of the detective, she sent samples for a DNA test to be carried out that will determine which location she really is from, but the result has not yet come out, according to the Radar Online portal. If it turns out that she is British or from the region, the private investigation of Fia Johansson, the young woman’s detective, must continue with a focus on the girl who disappeared in 2007. They are currently in the United States. Julia and Johansson moved there after the young woman was allegedly threatened with death in her country. A prize of around 30,000 pounds R$ 134,000 was placed on the head of the Polish woman.
