Ex-president is accused of paying US$ 130,000 as a bribe to porn actress Stormy Daniels; defense says republican will not be handcuffed
The former president of U.S, donald trump, indicted by the Manhattan Court for paying bribes to porn actress Stormy Daniels, will travel next Monday, 3rd, to New York, where he will appear before judge Juan Manuel Merchan, in charge of the case. The republican is the first former president in the country’s history to formally answer for a crime. He will spend the weekend at his mansion in Mar-a-Lago, Florida. The expectation is that the republican will appear before the judge at 2:15 pm local time (3:15 pm in Brasilia) on Tuesday, 4. According to the US press, the list of accusations that the judge will communicate to Trump – and that has not yet were revealed – includes more than 30 charges, all related to the alleged $130,000 bribe of Daniels. According to attorney Joe Tacopina, the former president will not be handcuffed on the short journey between the Manhattan district attorney’s office and the hearing. Trump is also not expected to plead guilty and chose to go to trial.
