Australia: swimmer missing after shark attack

(ANSA) – ROME, NOVEMBER 06 – A man who this morning swam in the waters of Port Beach in North Fremantle, in the State of Western Australia, was attacked by a shark and is believed to be missing: the police have made it known , according to the CNN.

In these hours, the search for the man, in his fifties, who according to the police often swam in that area, continues. Meanwhile, authorities in Fremantle and the nearby town of Cottesloe have closed neighboring beaches for 24 hours.

According to local media, a group of boys witnessed the attack and tried in vain to help the victim before warning the public that he was in the water at the time to get to safety.
