Bombings against border regions of Russia with the Ukraine left two people dead this Saturday, 27, according to regional authorities. “One person died. A security officer from a municipal company. He was on the street at the time of the attack,” Belgorod Region Governor Viacheslav Gladkov reported in Telegram. In the message, he adds that “two teenagers, a 15-year-old girl (…) and a 17-year-old boy” were injured in the attack on the town of Shebekino, close to the border with Ukraine, and were “transferred to hospital”. Another person was injured but did not need to be hospitalized, according to Gladkov. The governor also reported that the bombings had damaged power lines in his region and set fire to “two large companies”.

Earlier this week, the Belgorod region was the scene of an armed attack by Ukraine, claimed by two groups of Russian exiles fighting Moscow forces. The locality is constantly bombed. The governor of the Kursk border region, Roman Starovoit, reported that a mortar shell from the village of Plekhovo killed a worker. According to the regional official, the victim worked on “fortification” of the defenses near Ukraine. In the Pskov region of western Russia, two drones damaged the administrative building of an oil pipeline, its governor, Mikhail Vedernikov, announced on Saturday. According to initial information, the building was damaged “following an attack by two unmanned aerial devices”, he added. No casualties were reported and authorities opened an investigation.

According to unconfirmed information published by Baza, a Russian Telegram channel that has sources in the secret services, the drones targeted the Transneft oil pumping station in Pskov. Reports of drone strikes in Russia have multiplied in recent weeks, especially in regions bordering Ukraine. On Friday, the 26th, two drones damaged buildings in the center of the city of Krasnodar, in southern Russia. Moscow blames Kiev and its Western allies for these attacks. Ukraine rejects any involvement.
