Head of State tripped over a black bag placed on stage; White House communications director said the US leader is fine
The president of U.S, Joe Biden, 80 years old, took a tumble this Thursday, 1st, during a ceremony to deliver diplomas to graduates of the US Air Force Academy in the state of Colorado. He got up, with the help of an Air Force officer and two members of the Secret Service – the body responsible for the safety of the president and his family – quickly and returned to his seat. People who were at the ceremony observed everything with concern, but, through Twitter, Ben LaBolt, director of communications at the White House, said that the head of state is fine and that he would have tripped over a black bag placed on the stage. In the recording it is possible to see the North American leader pointing exactly to the place where he fell. Biden is the oldest president of the United States and his candidacy to run for the 2024 elections is an argument for the opposition, since, if he is re-elected, he would leave the White House at the age of 86. Last June, Biden also drew attention when he fell off his bicycle while dismounting. He stuck his foot on the pedal.
