Sanda at the summit in Moldova did not let Orban kiss her hand. Video

The summit of the European Political Community, held the day before in Chisinau, was not without incidents. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who wanted to show his respect for the Moldovan leader Maia Sande in front of the cameras on the red carpet, received a diplomatic but convincing rebuff.

The Moldovan media showed an episode in which Sandu actually laid siege to almost the best friend of dictator Putin in front of everyone. At the moment of congratulations, when Orban reached for the president’s wrist to kiss him, she took her hand away (to watch the video, make the page to the end).

Orban, who looked as if he had received a slap in the face, took the insult silently and continued to pose for the cameras with a surprised face. Sandu did not discredit political etiquette in any way, but made it clear to the guest that his pro-Kremlin speeches were not welcome in Moldova.

On social networks, this incident is being actively discussed, chuckling at Orban, but opinions are divided. There are those who believe that Sandu did not allow the minister to kiss her hand, not at all because she disliked his friendship with the Fuhrer of the 21st century, but because such a gesture is outdated.

“It’s just sexist,” they write in the comments.

Earlier, GLOBAL HAPPENINGS reported that Orban recently disgraced himself with another pro-Russian statement. He believes that Ukraine does not seem to be able to defeat Russia in the war.

“Emotionally, this is tragic, all our hearts are with the Ukrainians. But I speak as a politician who has to save lives. There is no chance of winning in this war,” the politician summed up.

This opinion outraged the collective event. NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg besieged the presumptuous Prime Minister of Hungary and pointed out that in this war Ukraine will not be left alone against the invaders.

“I am absolutely sure that Ukraine has the potential, the will, the courage, but also the NATO allies have the commitment, the determination to support them in order to liberate their lands,” he said.

Stoltenberg was also supported by the leaders of the European Union: for example, Josep Borrell stressed that Kyiv would receive assistance from its partners as much as needed. That is why Orban’s predictions will not come true.
