As in 2016, he will try to seek traditionally more conservative Republican allies to be the official representative of the Republicans. Christie is a hope against Trump’s favoritism, which is followed by the governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis. he sees himself as the only candidate with the skills and willingness to directly attack Trump. The two are currently the main names of the Republican Party to be nominated to run in the 2024 presidential election. By announcing his pre-candidacy, the former governor of New Jersey joins an extensive list of candidates for the Republican nomination for president from the US, like former President Donald Trump; Florida Governor Ron DeSantis; former US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley; former Arkansas governor Asa Hutchinson; and South Carolina Senator Tim Scott. Along with them, entrepreneurs Vivek Ramaswamy, Ryan Binkley and Perry Johnson, as well as radio host Larry Elder, also presented their candidacies. According to the weighted average of polls conducted by the website FiveThirtyEight, Trump is the favorite to win the Republican nomination for the US presidency, followed by DeSantis, Pence, Haley and Ramaswamy. Christie, who is a former federal prosecutor, served as a consultant for Donald Trump’s campaign in 2016 and has since become a vehement critic of the former president due to his false claims about the 2020 elections, in which he was defeated by Joe Biden – US leader has also announced his candidacy for the presidency. In polls conducted by Reuters/Ipsos in May, the Republican appears with just 1% of support from potential voters.
