After discussing the terrorist attack on the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, initiated by the Russian occupiers, with President Vladimir Zelensky, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke on this topic with Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin. Both sides are convinced that the situation is a real environmental and humanitarian collapse, but Moscow denies any involvement.
The Turkish edition of TRT Haber reported on the dialogue between the two politicians. To find out who blew up the dam on the largest Ukrainian reservoir, Ankara is ready to take part in the investigation.
“A special commission should be created with the participation of Russian and Ukrainian experts, the UN and the international community, including Turkey. Our country offers full assistance in this matter,” Erdogan stressed, addressing Putin.
The Ankara leader also noted that, despite the aggravated military situation, grain agreements should be adhered to and a sea corridor for dry cargo ships from the ports of the Odessa region should be provided. To do this, neither Moscow nor Kyiv should avoid consultations on the UN.
“And we are determined to continue to make the necessary efforts to establish a just peace,” Erdogan summed up.
Earlier, GLOBAL HAPPENINGS reported that China responded to the explosion of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, which led to a disaster in Kherson and nearby regions. China’s Permanent Representative to the UN Zhang Jun said that Beijing is “deeply alarmed by the situation around the Kakhovskaya HPP and its environmental consequences.”
