Kim Jong-un bans suicides in North Korea: they were equated with “treason against socialism” – media

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has banned the people of the country from committing suicide and equated it with “treason against socialism.” He instructed the government to create a mechanism to control and prohibit suicides.

It is reported by the Mirror. In all likelihood, this decision is due to a sharp increase in the number of suicides in North Korea.

According to information received from sources in the DPRK, the reported number of suicides among citizens of North Korea has increased by 40 percent compared with the previous year.

“There is a lot of internal unrest in North Korea because of the hard life of the people,” the report said.

It is known that, despite the order, local officials have not yet been able to find an appropriate solution to resolve the situation.

After a series of emergency meetings throughout the country, a secret directive was issued on the issue of suicide. One of the main topics of discussion at the meetings was the 35 suicide cases in Chongjin City and Gyeongseong County.

Most of these cases were collective, where entire families perished. The Government is sincerely committed to finding effective solutions to prevent such tragedies.

As GLOBAL HAPPENINGS reported, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea) held a large-scale night parade dedicated to the 75th anniversary of its army. The totalitarian authorities of the DPRK paid special attention to the display of intercontinental ballistic missiles.
