(ANSA) – BRASILIA, 08 NOV – The decline in the number of daily deaths due to coronavirus continues in Brazil: yesterday the country recorded 64 deaths compared to an average of 232 victims every 24 hours in the last 7 days, equal to a drop 31% compared to the average of the previous week. According to official statistics, yesterday’s figure brings the total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic to 609,484.
As for the infections, the overall toll is 21,877,828, including 5,774 in the last 24 hours. The average was 9,896 per day over the past 7 days, which is a 17% drop from the previous week.
In parallel, 155.8 million people received at least one dose of the Covid vaccines, equal to 73% of the population. On the other hand, there are 119.8 million Brazilians (56% of the population) fully vaccinated (with AstraZeneca, CoronaVac, Pfizer or Janssen). (HANDLE).
