(ANSA) – ROME, NOVEMBER 12 – The victims of the crowd at the Astroworld Festival musical event in Houston, Texas, which took place last Saturday, rose to 9. The BBC reports online.

University student Bharti Shahani, 22, was attending her first music festival with her family when she was seriously injured, dying in hospital nearly a week later. The victims were all boys aged between 14 and 27 who were crushed against the stage by the crowd that pressed behind them.

At least a hundred injured in the crowd: among them a 9-year-old boy who remains in a pharmacological coma due to severe brain trauma. The tragedy began while hugely popular rapper Travis Scott was performing, who repeatedly interrupted his performance to ask rescuers to intervene, until the show was suspended. A series of complaints have been filed against Scott, another fellow rapper Drake and the organizers of the musical event Scott. (HANDLE).
