(ANSA) – BRAZIL, NOV 15 – The former president of Brazil, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (2003-2010), analyzed the political situation of his country in Brussels where he met the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Policy, Josep Borrell.
“We talked a lot about the Brazilian and Latin American situation, and we decided to continue the dialogue and the exchange of ideas”, the leader of the Workers’ Party (PT, left) wrote on social media.
Lula visited the European Parliament today, where he was welcomed by the S&D parent company, Iratxe Garcia Perez.
On Friday, however, the former worker-president had an interview in Berlin with the probable future German chancellor, the Social Democrat Olaf Scholz, during which he underlined “the importance of strengthening cooperation between Brazil and Germany”, reports the PT in a press release. (HANDLE).
