(ANSA) – TUNIS, NOVEMBER 28 – The Tripoli Court of Appeal has admitted an appeal filed against the presidential candidacy on December 24 of the Prime Minister of the Libyan National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah. This is learned from various Libyan media, including The Libya Observer, according to which the Court has suspended the candidacy of Dbeibah, who should in turn appeal against this decision.
Among others, the presidential candidates Aref Ali Nayed, Othman Abdel Jalil and Mohamed al Muntasser, as well as the powerful former interior minister, Fathi Bashagha, who recalled the article of the electoral law according to which any candidate for the presidential elections must have renounced all posts, civil and military, at least three months before the scheduled election date.
