Healthy and safe: a man flew over two hours on a plane in the landing gear compartment (video)

26-year-old man survived flight from Guatemala to Miami, hiding in the landing gear compartment of a Boeing 737-800. The flight lasted over two hours.

At the airport, a video was filmed showing the intruder standing next to two employees in vests, and then sitting down on the ground due to dizziness. Also shown is the landing gear compartment, in which the man flew for 2.5 hours. After the landing of the liner, the violator was detained and taken to a medical facility for examination.

Since 1949, 129 people have attempted to fly an airplane in the landing gear bay, according to the US Federal Aviation Administration. However, 100 people died from injuries.

Passenger airliners are usually fly at altitude 9,000 – 12,000 meters. This is the ideal altitude for most airplanes, but even at this distance from the ground, the air temperature is sub-zero. Therefore, the fact that the man survived is a real miracle.
