Tragedy on the set: Baldwin cell phone search warrant

(ANSA) – ROME, DECEMBER 17 – The police have obtained a search warrant for Alec Baldwin’s mobile phone as part of the investigation into the murder of the director of photography, Halyna Hutchins, which took place in October on the set of the actor’s film / director ‘Rust’. This was reported by various American media.

The search warrant and accompanying affidavit were filed with the Santa Fe County Judicial Court yesterday, nearly two weeks after a New Mexico prosecutor leading the investigation alleged that some of the individuals handling guns on the set of the film could be charged with the murder of Hutchins. The director died after being hit by a bullet from Baldwin’s prop pistol while director Joel Souza was smeared.

According to the 7-page affidavit, investigators requested access to Baldwin’s iPhone to review text messages, email correspondence, social networking communications, and other device information. Investigators say “there may be evidence in the mobile phone relevant to this investigation.” (HANDLE).
