(ANSA) – ROME, JANUARY 05 – “You like our fries too much, we’re sorry but we ran out of them!”: Kfc in Kenya apologized after the inconvenience, causing an uproar on the web with many users who came to launch a boycott campaign on Twitter for the American chain.
Competitors rushed to cash, with Burger King writing, “We’ve got fries for everyone.”
Kfc has run for cover, local media reported today, announcing that it has started a quality verification process to use potatoes produced in Kenya. The CEO of KFC for East Africa, Jacques Theunissen, explained the shortage of chips with the difficulties recorded in procurement due to the Covid pandemic.
