Prince Andrew of England, involved in the Epstein scandal, will go to trial in the United States. A US judge has in fact rejected the Duke of York’s request to dismiss the civil case brought by his accuser Virginia Giuffrè. This was reported by some British media.
Giuffrè accused the financier Jeffrey Epstein, who committed suicide in prison, and his partner Ghislaine Maxwell of having sexually abused her when she was a minor, in 2001. The woman also said that she was forced to have sex with Prince Andrew at the age of 17 years. He filed a civil lawsuit against the Duke of York last August, also speaking of beatings and emotional distress caused to him intentionally. Andrea has always denied the accusations, also defending himself behind an agreement reached in 2009 between Giuffrè and Epstein that would protect him from any type of cause. Agreement that was unveiled last January and under which the woman would have been paid 500 thousand dollars.
