(ANSA) – DUBAI, 17 JAN – On the sidelines of the national day of South Korea at Expo, preliminary agreements were signed with the United Arab Emirates for the sale of medium-range ground-to-air missiles from Seoul to the Gulf nation. This was reported by the South Korean agency Yonhap.
On Sunday at the Expo, South Korean President Moon stressed the strategic importance of defense cooperation between the two nations.

Unofficial sources report the economic value of the agreement 3.5 billion dollars.
Last November, the UAE Ministry of Defense announced plans to acquire “hit-to-kill” technology, missiles designed to intercept hostile missiles that arrive at altitudes below 40 kilometers.
