(ANSA) – LONDON, JAN 26 – Queen Elizabeth was photographed today driving from the country house in Sandringham, Norfolk (eastern England), where she is after having spent a long time in Windsor Castle of rest which lasted a few months. The images published by the British tabloids show the sovereign sitting in the passenger seat of a Range Rover off-road vehicle with a scarf on her head and sunglasses, while a driver drives the vehicle. The queen has stayed at the beloved Wood Farm cottage for the first time since the death of Prince consort Philip in April. According to the Sun, he intends to privately remember the Duke of Edinburgh as well as his father George VI on the 70th anniversary of his passing on February 6. Moment that also marks the accession to the throne of Elizabeth. The celebrations for his Platinum Jubilee and thus the seven decades as a monarch will begin next month and reach a climax in June.
