Syria: NGO, 20 bodies found in Hasake prison

(ANSAMed) – BEIRUT, JANUARY 28 – About 20 corpses of fighters killed by ISIS militiamen were found today in north-eastern Syria, in what remains of Hasake prison, which was stormed by jihadists on 20 January and was resumed by Kurdish-Arab fighters just two days ago.

This was reported by the National Observatory for Human Rights in Syria, according to which in the Hasake prison there are still dozens of jihadists entrenched in the northern arm of the prison.

The Observatory states that since January 20 to today, more than 250 people have been killed in the clashes in Hasake, including 180 jihadists, 73 Kurdish and Arab anti-Isis militiamen, and seven civilians.

But these are inaccurate budgets and are destined to rise in the coming days.

The armed clashes in the prison between the last barricaded jihadists and the Kurdish and Arab anti-Isis forces continue, the sources say. (ANSAMed).
