Covid: after Djokovic, Australia stops Kanye West

(ANSA) – ROME, JANUARY 29 – After tennis number one Novak Djokovic, Australia stops hip hop star Kanye West. Prime Minister Scott Morrison warned Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband that if he wants to tour the country he must prove that he is fully vaccinated against Covid. The Guardian reports “The rules apply to everyone. It doesn’t matter who you are, they are the rules. If you follow them you can come, otherwise you can’t”, declared the premier. It is unclear whether West made the coronavirus vaccine but in a 2021 interview with Forbes he compared the vaccination to “branding of the beasts”.

Australia, one of the countries with the highest rate of vaccinated, fought like the rest of the world a new heavy wave of cases caused by Omicron with 2 million infected in a month. Previously, it had only registered 400,000 cases since the start of the pandemic. (HANDLE).
