India: Morgan Freeman for ‘mistake’ in skin care commercial

(ANSA) – NEW DELHI, 02 FEB – The Vadakara Cooperative Hospital, a clinic in Kerala has publicly apologized on Facebook for using the image of the actor Morgan Freeman to advertise dermatological treatments.

The billboard on which the portrait of the Hollywood star stood went viral in a few hours on Twitter, while many mocked the clinic for having associated the 84-year-old actor, multiple award-winning with treatments for freckles, skin spots, scars, pigmentations.

Advertising was accused of racism. The hospital said it was a mistake and had no intention of defaming “a great actor” (ANSA).
