(ANSA) – ROME, FEBRUARY 03 – UPS has suspended “some operations” in its largest international hub, in Kentucky, due to the winter storm that is affecting part of the United States. CNN reports it. Around 300 cargo flights pass through Worldport in Louisville every day and 2 million packages leave for worldwide flights. But the ice that is building up at the international airport makes it impossible for some operations to run normally, company spokesman Jim Mayer said, without specifying which ones.
Across the United States, 263,000 people have been left without electricity due to strong winds and bad weather. The most affected states include Texas, Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, Illinois, New York and Virginia. (HANDLE).
