Maserati GranTurismo, Museo Nicolis Heritage Design house

On the occasion of the launch of the new GranTurismo and in particular of the production of video training for Trident dealerships around the world, Maserati chose the Nicolis Museum in Villafranca di Verona as the home of Heritage Design and its collections. The uniqueness and conservation of the museum exhibition itinerary have made the Nicolis the ideal environment for reconstructing the heritage and historical evolution of the Trident in dialogue with details, models, engines and rare elements. An entire floor was transformed into a set hosting the shots of the Maserati team, giving the visiting public the exclusive opportunity to be able to see contemporary Maseratis from the backstage in comparison with their genealogy, in an historical parterre of excellence.
“It is a great honor for us to collaborate with a brand like Maserati, still admired all over the world today – said Silvia Nicolis, president of the Museum – Being chosen for this project represents a concrete recognition of the cultural significance of the Museum and the its values”.
“In order to be able to write the future – he reiterated – it is essential to start from the origins and it is an immense satisfaction that the Museum’s collections are considered a valid research tool and an active interlocutor in the broad contemporary automotive panorama”.
Five of the most iconic cars were chosen for the Maserati training programme, which spans 75 years of production of grand touring cars and more than 20 models built.
They are the 2000 3200 GT, the 2014 GranTurismo M145 and three jewels of the Museum, the 1947 A6 1500, the 1958 3500 GT and the 1972 Ghibli 4700.
In the absolute balance between beauty and functionality, the new GranTurismo features rounded lines and continuous shapes, in keeping with the elegant and decisive style of the past. The Trident team has therefore decided for this video to reconstruct the history of GranTurismo design to trace its constants and make the most of the masterpiece of luxury, power, design and technology that also takes shape in the first 100% electric Maserati car.
