Targa Telematics Spa tech-company of Treviso specialized in the development of IoT solutions and digital platforms for connected mobility, acquires 100% of the share capital of Viasat Group Spa of Venaria Reale (Turin).
The completion of the transaction – indicatively expected for the first half of 2023 – is subject to certain conditions precedent, including the Golden Power authorizations in Italy and Spain, and the approval by the Antitrust Authority.
Viasat represents Italian excellence in the field of technology applied to the automotive sector, and is one of the leading companies in Europe in the supply of satellite and IoT info-telematics services and solutions for the safety and protection of people, vehicles and goods.
The transaction marks the birth of one of the main global players in the field of IoT and the development of digital solutions and services for connected mobility, spread across eight European countries – Italy, Portugal, Spain, France, England, Belgium, Poland , and Romania – to which is also added a company in Chile. Targa Telematics – already operational in England, Spain, France and Portugal – will further strengthen its leadership in the Italian market with an acceleration of its expansion in Europe.
