A 32-year-old Neapolitan was reported to the judicial authority for fraudulent insolvency: he had accumulated a debt of 1829.77 euros for non-payment of the road toll. A sum that he had been avoiding since 2008 with a trick, in particular by covering the number plate with his foot.
This technique has become a very common ploy among motorcycle drivers who, with a reckless manoeuvre, move their foot behind the scooter until the license plate is covered as they pass the toll booth of the Naples ring road, despite knowing they are being filmed by the security cameras .
The policemen identified the number plate of Polish nationality and the real user of the motorcycle, i.e. a 32-year-old Neapolitan who, without having ownership of a device combined with a regular contract for the payment of the toll, has accumulated a debt equal to 1,829. 77 euros.
