Volta Trucks, a company specialized in the production of fully electric vehicles and in the provision of services, has confirmed the expansion of its network of Truck as a Service Hub in Europe, with two new openings confirmed in Duisburg, Germany, and Madrid, Spain .
Both locations will provide full customer support and will offer training, maintenance and service to trucks operating in these markets. Volta Trucks’ new German hub is located in Duisburg, west of the Rhine-Ruhr region, an area on the way to becoming the first climate-neutral industrial zone in Europe.
The new center covers an area of 3,000 square meters and includes eight areas dedicated to service and maintenance and twelve outdoor parking lots for trucks, as well as a showroom, offices, conference rooms and the Volta Trucks Academy, the specialized training center of the brand dedicated to the training of drivers, sales teams, technicians and fleet managers.
In Spain, the new Volta Trucks Hub is located in the municipality of Coslada in Madrid, it is located in the east of the capital and is easily accessible from the city centre. The site is located near strategic points such as Mercamadrid, the largest distribution center for perishable food products in Spain, the main cargo terminal in Madrid and Madrid-Barajas airport.
Like the already existing hubs in Paris and London, those in Madrid and Duisburg will also have a number of battery chargers installed to meet the charging needs of Volta Zero, light commercial vehicles and passenger cars.
“The new offices in Duisburg and Madrid – explained Casper Norden, chief fleet solutions officer of Volta Trucks – are a fundamental element for the supply of the Truck as Service service. These are added to the already existing offices in Bonneuil-sur-Marne, in south of Paris, and in Tottenham, London.
TaaS supports our customers and partners in the transition to an electric fleet by providing a set of turnkey components in one package.”
