Thirty-three carcasses of abandoned and no longer functional vehicles were discovered in the countryside of the island of Vulcano (Messina) by the carabinieri, who managed to identify the owners, 28 people. One of them was reported for the crime of uncontrolled abandonment of hazardous waste. All were fined a total of 17,000 euros. In particular, 15 cars, 13 caravans, three motor vehicles, a van and a self-propelled operating machine were identified, all missing essential parts and considered waste due to the high state of deterioration in which they were found. Simultaneously with the sanctions, the perpetrators are obliged to immediately dispose of the carcasses, under penalty of issuing a trade union ordinance which requires immediate disposal and the restoration of the state of the places.
