To Eligio Catarinella Alfa global marketing and communication

Eligio Catarinella, who has been managing director of Fiat and Abarth for Italy since 2020, has been appointed global head of Alfa Romeo marketing and communication. He takes the place of Francesco Calcara who assumes the role of chief operating officer of Free2move eSolutions, the Group company that supports and promotes the transition to electric mobility.
In her new position, Catarinella will report directly to Jean-Philippe Imparato, CEO of the Alfa Romeo brand, and will manage the transition towards electrification by supporting the brand’s ambition to become Stellantis’ global premium brand.
From Turin, with a degree in engineering from the Polytechnic of Turin, Catarinella holds a master’s degree in marketing management from the University of Economics of Turin. He began his career in the Fiat Group in 2005 holding roles of increasing responsibility in sales & marketing, both in Italy and abroad.
Among the main roles held before the current position, Catarinella was head of product marketing Lancia/Chrysler for the EMEA area from 2012 to 2014, Fiat & Abarth marketing director for Italy from 2014 to 2016, country manager for Alfa Romeo and Jeep in Switzerland from 2016 to 2018.
At the beginning of 2019 he returned to Italy as head of marketing & communication FCA Italy, managing the product portfolio of all brands. This until April 2020 when Catarinella assumed responsibility for the Fiat & Abarth brands for Italy as managing director. .
