Stellantis contract, 207 euro increase over 2 years

The workers of the Italian plants of Stellantis, Cnh Industrial, Iveco and Ferrari will have monthly salary increases of 207 euros in their paychecks in the two-year period, with an economic increase of over 11%. A one-off payment of 400 euros in two tranches (April and July) is envisaged for 2023 and, from May, 200 euros net of Flexible Benefits that can be spent on the CNH, Iveco, Stellantis welfare platform and in fuel vouchers for Ferrari. In all, they will collect an average of over 4,300 euros in the two-year period. After four months of negotiations, Fim, Uilm, Fismic, Ugl and the Associazione Quadri signed the agreement for the specific first-level employment contract at the Industrial Union of Turin. Born in 2010 as a Fiat contract, it is the first of the Stellantis era and the first after the separation of Iveco and CNH. More than 70,000 workers are affected, of which about 47,000 from Stellantis. Fiom, which will meet the companies in the next few days, speaks of an “open wound” because “the path of division continues”. “The signing of the CCSL took place once again excluding Fiom and the workers. The comparison was held on two tables by the will of the companies and was interrupted by the companies themselves because the goal was not to identify a new system shared union relations” says the national auto coordinator Simone Marinelli. Among the novelties of the contract is the National Observatory of industrial and organizational policies to monitor the corporate transformation due to the ecological transition. The expansion of study permits, the improvement of the mechanism for requesting individual permits, the strengthening of legal protections for women victims of violence, the improvement of the system of factory commissions are also envisaged. Agile working is confirmed. Giuseppe Manca, Human Resources manager for Stellantis Italia, underlines that “solutions have been found together that will be able to adequately protect the interests of workers and the company in terms of competitiveness of Italian companies”. “It is the first contract of this magnitude for the defense of the purchasing power of wages. It protects workers within the automotive transition and paves the way for the next renewals” commented the general secretary of the Fim, Roberto Benaglia and the national secretary Ferdinando Uliano .

“We have guaranteed timely wage protection for workers and the dutiful continuity of a system of industrial relations which was born in 2010 as a Fiat contract and which in recent years has protected workers in the car industry even in the most difficult moments” stated Rocco Palombella, general secretary of Uilm, and Gianluca Ficco, Automotive manager. For Roberto Di Maulo, general secretary of Fismic “the system of the CCSL born 13 years ago with the Pomigliano agreement starts with this renewal when he comes of age. All the bad luck birds who had predicted his death are denied since birth”.
