Pandelleria, a documentary film that pays homage to the Fiat Panda icon

The employees of the Giambattista Vico factory in Pomigliano d’Arco, place of production of the timeless Panda which is one of the most famous symbols of Made in Italy manufacturing in the world, are in fact the ‘artisans’ of a successful model which, together with the iconic 500, brought Fiat to European leadership in the city car segment. the docufilm is set in the middle of the Mediterranean, where pandas of all ages, configurations and colors run around the island. The plot intertwines the beauty and colors of the island with the stories of the daily life of its inhabitants, in which panda always present as an inseparable companion. The 30-minute film shows 14 inhabitants of Pantelleria who tell their love for the three generations of Panda. Among them we find a spiritual guide, a beekeeper, a farmer, a mechanic, a priest, a musician and many others. All united by a love for the island and for the Fiat Panda, the handyman that helps them in their daily activities thanks to its versatility and functionality.
Stories that are an emblematic example of the ‘Panda people’ who chose and loved this car for its simplicity and convenience. A fun and surreal journey to discover the inhabitants of this small community and their bond with the Fiat icon. Conceived by the Publicis Groupe, Leo Burnett and Publicis Sapient agencies, the documentary film was produced by Twister Film under the direction of the famous documentary filmmaker Giovanni Troilo (known for The power of Rome and Vesuvius or: How they learn to live among volcanoes). Furthermore, exclusively for the Italian market, the project will be expanded thanks to the collaboration with the content creator Gabriele Vagnato, who has created a series of pills to enrich the stories told in the documentary.
